Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist

Physical Therapist
Gooding and Twin Falls Office

“I would highly recommend David and Body Balance to anyone that needs physical therapy… I can move my neck without pain in ways that I didn’t think I would ever be able to again. These guys are great!”Everett

David Hutchinson, PT, MPT, OCS, founder of BodyBalance Physical therapy, was born and raised right here in the Magic Valley. He received his Associate’s degree from the College of Southern Idaho, a Bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University, his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University in 1998, and is a board certified Orthopedic Physical Therapy Specialist. David’s roots are in the Magic Valley and it’s where he applies the education and training that he has received.

David’s primary areas of specialty are treating the pain related to the neck/back and joints of the extremities. He has advanced training in shoulder rehabilitation and hands-on spine therapy. He is always looking to improve his skills and knowledge base so that he can better serve his patients.

David’s additional practice areas include treating dizziness (Vestibular Rehabilitation), balance disorders, and falls prevention. His focus extends to improving the health of women and treating women’s issues. To provide his patients with optimal care, David continually refines his skills and knowledge base by learning and implementing the most current practices and techniques in the field of physical therapy. His approach is to teach and empower his patients for a lasting effect.

David’s personal interests include spending time with his wife, Amy, and his five children (Kaylee, Justin, Emily, Ashley, and Cameron). He has many stories to tell about backpacking, hiking, skiing, wake boarding (though his kids are better at it than he is), camping, running, and road biking. You may have to take some of his stories with a grain of salt if he is “pulling your leg” though.

David loves the Magic Valley and the people in it. Whether he is visiting his dad’s small dairy farm in Buhl to help out his family, or enjoying the great outdoor adventures we have here in Idaho, he is thankful for such a great place to live and work. Come meet David and see why so many people choose him as their family’s physical therapist.

Adam Squires Physical Therapist

Adam Squires, DPT, OCS, Cert SMT, Cert DN was born in Mesa, Arizona before moving to Virginia during middle school. He then completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at BYU in Provo, Utah.  He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota. Following graduation, he was one of the few graduates accepted to complete a year-long orthopedic residency at the Mayo Clinic where he received advanced training in the diagnosing and treatment of muscle, joint, nerve, back, neck, and knee issues.

He has been a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy since 2018. Much of the training he has completed since joining the Body Balance Physical Therapy team has focused on the hands-on diagnosis and treatment of spine-related ailments. He is one of the few therapists in Idaho to achieve a certification in spinal manipulation through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. He has also completed all the requirements to achieve a certification in dry needling.

He firmly believes that patients have the best opportunity to achieve their goals when there is good communication between the therapist and patient combined with the appropriate hands-on therapy and exercises. He strives to listen with care and empathy to each individual that walks through the door. This allows for a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan that addresses the source of the problem.

He has a particular passion for treating those who suffer from headaches and neck pain. Having seen how severely headaches can limit a person’s ability to live the life he/she would like, he finds it immensely satisfying to help these same individuals return to doing the things they love.

He loves spending time with his beautiful wife, Ashley, and three children. He enjoys a wide range of sporting activities, including basketball, weight lifting, and soccer.

Brian has worked with a variety of patients, including patients with Parkinson’s, strokes and cardiac rehab. With orthopedics, his special interests are in the neck, shoulder, back, and knee. He enjoys how he can help correct with proper exercise prescription and manual therapy. He loves to see people regain function and get back to doing what they love to do!

Whitney is originally from Crescent City, on the northwestern coast of California. Her very first place of employment was in a small outpatient physical therapy office where she worked for two years as a physical therapy technician. From then on, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career of helping patients achieve their physical health goals and live a better quality of life. Shortly after high school, she moved to Boise, Idaho to apply for and attend the Carrington College physical therapy assistant program. There she received her Associates of Applied Science degree in the spring of 2018. Today, Whitney is proud to call Twin Falls, Idaho home. She enjoys working with patients at Body Balance to help them achieve their personal health goals and improve their level of function. She enjoys working with all patients and a variety of conditions, but especially enjoys treating shoulder, low back, and neck pain. She continues to enjoy growing and learning in her career since graduating from school. As part of the Body Balance team, she frequently takes part in learning the most effective and up to date skills that help to optimize every patient treatment session. She takes pride in ensuring that every patient she works with receives the best possible care at Body Balance Physical Therapy.

Ryan Peck, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Physical Therapist
Twin Falls Office

S. Ryan Peck, PT, DPT, grew up in Payson, UT. Before starting PT school, he worked as an ACSM certified personal trainer for over 3 years, specializing in core strengthening, balance training, corrective exercise, rehabilitation, sports performance, and functional training, just to name a few. A lot of his time as a personal trainer was spent working with people who had just gotten out of physical therapy. His goal was to help them maintain their home exercise programs and continue to help them progress towards their personal fitness goals and return to their prior level of function without pain or disability.

He graduated from the Idaho State University DPT program in 2019 in which he learned new skills, participated in research projects with faculty and staff members and received the education necessary to help those around him. Prior to this he received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Utah Valley University. He has a wife and two little boys, and he enjoys pushing himself both physically and mentally, always striving to become the best qualified individual to help and serve others around him.

In his spare time Ryan loves spending time with his wife and kids, riding his bike around town, going on hikes and having popcorn parties watching movies at home with his family.

Kaitlyn Pulsipher, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Physical Therapist
Twin Falls Office

I grew up in Puyallup, WA in a suburban area and have 4 siblings, many of which are also healthcare providers.

Physical therapy became my passion in college when I decided I wanted to make a difference in the lives of real people and patients and help them get back to enjoying their lives without the burden of physical pain.

Now I am a physical therapy who attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for my undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and graduated in April, 2017. I then attended Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah for my doctorate degree in physical therapy and graduated in April of 2020. I loved my graduate program because they emphasized evidence-based treatment and highly valued the patient’s input in treatment, especially with goal-setting.

My interests with physical therapy include orthopedics and sports injuries, specifically treating hip, knee and ankle injuries. I would also love to expand my knowledge and treat more patients who are pre-natal or who suffer from vestibular, headache, concussion or neck problems.

I am married, and love spending time with my husband, whether we are hanging out at home or off on a fun day out. We love to watch movies and tv shows together, go hiking, go out to eat and try new burger and pizza places. My other hobbies include playing water polo, playing the piano and violin, running, camping, and visiting my family.

Arika Taylor, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy

Physical Therapist
Twin Falls Office

Arika is originally from Jerome, ID and comes from a large family. She grew up and graduated high school on the North side of the canyon and was excited to return home to the Magic Valley. Her initial interest in the field of Physical Therapy began while she was still in high school. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in the health field because she excelled in biology, anatomy and physiology, volunteered in the long term care center at the hospital down the road from her home, and earned her Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) certification before high school graduation. She also enjoyed playing sports, helping others, physical activity, and learning about nutrition. Physical Therapy was a perfect fit for her!

She moved to Pocatello, ID to attend Idaho State University and was the first in her family to pursue a college degree. She would graduate a total of three times with a Bachelor of Physical Education: Exercise Science, Massage Therapy, and Doctor of Physical Therapy. She worked as a CNA in a home care setting, as a technician in a physical therapy clinic, a landscaper in Sun Valley during summer breaks, as well as a massage therapist all while studying full time at Idaho State University. While working her various jobs, she found that she truly enjoyed learning about her patients and helping to improve their quality of life. She specializes in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and Outpatient Orthopedics.

Outside of work, Arika enjoys spending time in the great outdoors such as hiking, camping, and snowboarding. She likes to maintain an active lifestyle by lifting weights, running, walking her dogs, working in the yard, and playing disk golf. She also enjoys spending time with her loved ones, her dogs, and traveling to new and exciting places!
