2 Simple Exercises For Neck Pain

What a pain in the neck!

We all love working at computers, reading, watching TV and using our phones.   But doing these activities for long periods of time can cause neck pain.

Pillows that are too high or too flat, and don’t support the neck properly, can be a source of discomfort.

Intense concentration or stress can tighten the neck, head and shoulder muscles, causing tension and pain.

Here are 2 simple exercises to help alleviate neck pain.

EAR TO SHOULDER

  • Use your hand to slowly pull your ear towards your shoulder until you feel a good stretch.
  • Gently hold for 30 seconds. Repeat 2 to 3 times on each side.
NOSE TO POCKET

  • Use your hand to slowly pull your nose towards your arm pit until you feel a good stretch.
  • Gently hold for 30 seconds. Repeat 2 to 3 times on each side.
